Words: A Bunch of Lying Warmongers

On February 15, 2003, an estimated 40 million people worldwide protested the United States’ plan to invade Iraq, a devastated country that posed no threat to its own neighbors let alone the self-proclaimed “most powerful country in the history of the world.” But the U.S. rulers had their minds made up, and, to paraphrase Lincoln, “the war came”—and never left.

WMD Blues highlights the sinister musicality of meticulously-orchestrated propaganda, the melodies, cadences, and repetition of which succeeded in duping millions into supporting a war based on lies. George W. Bush himself provides the moral at the end.
